Matts T.J Quick
so heres some photos i popped on sunday, during the deconstruction and cleaning. much to my supprize, every single accessory - down to the cable housing - is "brev campagnolo." and since matts master plans are to single speed the quick beast, hes basically got an expensive pile of useless parts... (details: the shifter / brake levers are the integrated, trigger style, and the mount for the front derailleur is this sleek, hinged thingy that just looks nice in your hand, let alone on the bike.)
curiously, we noticed that the bottom bracket shell has a big "cinelli" logo (well, and as do the stem and handle bars), but the frame be branded t.j. quick... could he have used cinelli lugs to build his frame?

matt noticed that all the lugs have a cinelli logo stamped on them, furthering the idea that perhaps mr.quick knew mr.off-the-shelf and built his ride to mr.other-peoples-specs. but thats just an idea...
uhm please please please save all those parts ... you are disassembling a vintage piece of art. Making a fixed gear out of this bike is nearly sacreligious.
Carlos you are being a dumb ass. Google it before you open your mouth. Cinelli along with many other large Italian companies made a lot of the raw materials for building bikes. Lugs, drop out, braze ons etc... it is only in the last 10 years that these companies have discontinued these products.
SIR! IM SORRY, SIR!
settle down fellas, time out. i ain't going to ditch any parts, i know this is nice ride, i'm going to look after it. its a shame i'm not into the 12-speed set up, its a shame the dude who sold it didn't get it's full worth, but he was stoked i was into the bike, and was really into the idea of it going single speed. its going to be a while before i get a new rear wheel made up and go fixed. so lets all just breathe out, have a cup of tea and relax.
p.s its also a shame that brick lane bikes manage to scratch everything and chip chrome when all they have to do is chop bars (which they can't even do square) and re-pack the head-set (which now feels like shit). ha! bastards. don't even bother with them. ... maybe ok to buy stuff from, lets see what your frame turns out like, eh carlos?
Is this painted flouro colours yet?
So sad........another classic bites the dust. I wish you'd just put some wheels on the washing machine behind, whilst leaving the Quick to someone else......
